Tutor scheduling software that asks about the student
Lo-Cal, the booking calendar by Busifier, starts tutors and music teachers with hour-long lessons and two questions on every request: how old the student is, and whether they are starting out, have some experience or study regularly.
What Lo-Cal does not do for tutors
When another tool fits better: Lo-Cal books one lesson at a time on one calendar. It does not sell lesson packages, take payments or manage group classes, and each booking is one lesson. If you need those, a tutoring or music school tool fits better today.
Set up for tutors
These are your starting settings. Change any of them, and give each service its own length.
| Setting | Tutors and music teachers |
|---|---|
| Appointment length | 1 hour |
| Break after each appointment | 15 minutes |
| Earliest booking | 1 day ahead |
| Start times every | 30 minutes |
| Books up to | 60 days ahead |
| Confirming | You confirm each request, or turn on automatic confirming |
What customers answer when they book
Every booking asks for a name, a phone number and an email. On top of that:
| Question | Tutors and music teachers |
|---|---|
| Student's age | Optional |
| Experience (First time, Some, Regular) | Optional |
What it looks like on a phone

Example business: Marigold Dog Grooming is fictional, and these are screenshots of Lo-Cal on a phone. Your page asks your own trade's questions, shown in the table above.
How a booking works for tutors
A parent books a math lesson on Wednesday at 4:00 for a 13-year-old with some experience. You see the age and level before you confirm, so the first lesson starts at the right place instead of with a placement quiz.
A piano teacher gets the same start: 60-minute lessons, a 15-minute break between students and a day's notice. A 30-minute lesson for younger students can be its own service.

Put it on your site
Your booking page has its own address, busifier.com/book/your-business. Put the link in your Instagram bio and your Google Business Profile, or paste one line of code into Wix, Squarespace or WordPress where you want the calendar to show.
Paste your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar link and Lo-Cal hides the times you are already busy. Each confirmed booking reaches your calendar as an invite.
